Those of you with men will understand.

...and hilarity ensues...

Okay. I am here and Mommy is typing about my day.

This is a Ghostland and I like it. I love the ghost <sidenote from Mommy – The ghost is on a toothpick in the upper right corner>. I like the kitty cat. I used tape and a marker and some little fabric stuff and glued it all down. That’s all on this one.

020

The is a ghost that I got from Teacher Nancy. She made it for me and gave it me. And I like the way it flies. They put little tissues on it. It feels really soft…that’s why it’s called a tissue. I like the color bow it has and that my name is on it. The eyes and nose and mouth are so cool.

023

This is a very special box and I can’t tell you about it. There is something special inside of it. I can tell you what’s inside it whenever I decide to say so. <Mommy sidenote – Take that! I have no idea what is in there either.>

021

I like to sit on high things like the cat scratchers thing that points all the way up. And I like to sit on really, really, really high things that I can’t even tell what it is.

Oh, yeah! At school, Hannah was a cat, I was Dorothy and I can’t tell them about some guy ‘cause I can’t remember his name. Alexis was a different witch, Cooper was Spiderman.

I had a big party and we had graham crackers, grapes and cheese and water for snack. It was really yummy.

Or we could cut the pumpkin instead of carving it and eat it all up. Yum Yum Yum! <Mommy sidenote – this is in reference to a comment from her last art project post…one to Granny>

K…Bye!

I thought it was pretty cool that Mikayla decided she wanted to be Dorothy for Halloween this year. Anyone who knows me well knows that The Wizard of Oz is #1 on my All Time Favorite Movies List and always has been. I’ve collected certain memorabilia over the years and know every single line for every single character of this fantastical film. Even cooler is that this year marks the 70th Anniversary.

I won’t bore you with a whole bunch of trivia, I know you guys want to see pictures. :) Mikayla’s school had their Halloween party today and I got a few snaps when she got home.

005

I just love the braids! I don’t remember what we are talking about, but here face reminds me of when you are talking to a dog and it perks its little ears up and cocks its head. I can’t believe I just compared my daughter to a dog, but whatever.

014

007

Mikayla wanted me to take a picture of her lying down like Dorothy does on the bed with the twister spinning her house around. I thought it would be cool if I put a sepia filter on it (like in the movie!).

That’s all for know, folks! Here’s a bye-bye kiss for you though.

013

My cats are sweet and I like to pet them.

I love my Mom and Daddy and my new baby that is coming.

I like to play with my green race car and I like to play in the sandbox.

I know you guys have seen the little pictures from the iPhone, but I dug out my big camera today to take a few shots from the balcony.

So, that's our view. It's kind of yuck today, but when the sun is out, it's amazing.

After posting, I realized that Blogger squished my pictures. If you click on the pic, you can see what it really looks like.

Just enjoying a morning together at IHOP. Who doesn't love IHOP?!
Mommy said that I should start telling you guys about my art projects from school. Mommy is going to type everything that I say, exactly as I say it. Okay, Mommy? <sidenote from Mommy - This should be very interesting!>

This is a bookmark that I made for Mommy. She likes to read. A lot.

This is a pumpkin patch. Well, the pumpkins have little leaves and a long vine. And some glue. Different kind of glue that you never saw before.

I wish Nanny could get on the computer. For real. Why does she keep doing the wrong things to get on the computer? Why? Mommy, stop typing. Why? <sidenote from Mommy - I answered, "Because her computer isn't working properly."> Well, she can use Poppy's. Poppy's works great. Maybe she wasn't looking in the camera right.

This is a shape that are made out of wood. And it has a long stick and a square. And one little shape. Painting it was really fun. And getting my hands all painty. The orange circles made a little L. To make the circles I used a big stamp.

This is my little pumpkin. I found it in the pumpkin patch at school. They made the pumpkin patch out in the lawn. It feels like an orange. I could not tell you about the ground! It had poop! Maybe it was dog poop. Yuck! Why would a dog poop on the lawn? Blech! I really need to find out who made the poop that was on the rug in my bathroom. <sidenote from Mommy - I will have to get Cullen to come on here and tell that story.>

What else?

I played in the kitchen and I used a different kind of telephone. It had a little circle and you put your fingers in the hole and move it back and forth back and forth. But, you can't do it all the way back and forth because there is a little line in the middle.

I played with my boyfriend. My new boyfriend. His name is Cooper. We played spiderman, we thought about playing vampires, and that's it.

I did not go on the swing at all because Sarah was on it for a long, long, long time. They wanted to stay on there forever. Even at night.

That's really it now. Bye!
I was driving Mikayla to school today and I was listening to our local morning show, Jackie and Bender. Today, they were discussing the new Cameron Diaz and James Marsden movie, The Box.

For those of you who haven't heard of the movie, here is a synopsis from Flickster:
Norma and Arthur Lewis, a suburban couple with a young child, receive a simple wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences. A mysterious stranger, delivers the message that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button. But, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world; someone they don't know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in the cross-hairs of a startling moral dilemma and must face the true nature of their humanity.
Bender asked the listening audience, "What would you do in this situation?"

I was surprised at the number of people who called in and said that they would push the button in a heartbeat, no other questions asked.

Me? I'll admit my first thought was, "Well, if I could guarantee that the person was a bad guy, or, that they were going to die that day anyways, why not?" But, then I really thought about it. How is this any different than, say, murder for hire? That person that was going to die that day anyways? How could I steal them from their family for even a second? Shouldn't a human life be worth more than $1 million? Shouldn't it be priceless? I know mine is and I would hate it if someone put a price tag of $1 million on it.

So, I decided that, no, I wouldn't push that button. What about you? Could you push it? What thoughts run through your mind as you think about the question?
Pregnancy Info
Due Date: April 20, 2010
Weeks: 15 weeks down/25 to go
Trimester: 2nd (4 months)

Mommy Info
Weight Gain: I've actually lost 6 lbs. Not so good. That's a total of 11 lbs that I have lost since moving here. My OB seems just a tad concerned, but not much, so please don't worry! She would like for me to start weighing myself with a "reliable scale". I'm guessing that means a doctor's office? I really don't want to drive into the city just to get weighed. Plus, parking is a pain and EXPENSIVE.

A normal sized woman gains about 25-35 lbs, but since I am a Big Girl, I should gain 15-25 lbs. With Mikayla, I gained 11 lbs.

If I start gaining like a heiffer, then I'm sure this section will suddenly disapper.
Symtoms: Still nauseous, BAD heartburn, tired, but getting better.

Baby Info
Length (get over it, Cullen!): About 4.5 incles from head to booty.
Weight: 3 oz
Fruit Comparison: A large apple
Going on This Week: Breathing amniotic fluid, can now sense light, but eyelids are still fused shut, forming taste buds.

OB Appointment
  • We got to hear the baby's heartbeat!
  • Doc recommended that I receive the H1N1 vaccine, which I did get. My friend Sarah's family has caught it twice now. They gather sickness like it's candy. Since I hang out with her, I figured it was probably a good idea to get poked.
  • Blood was drawn for the next part of the Sequence Screening to test for neurological defects, Down's, etc.
  • Found out that we can find out at our next ultrasound (4 weeks from now) if we are having a little boy or girl.
  • Due to Mikayla's early arrival (almost 6 weeks), Doc is putting me on extra progesterone to help get this baby to full term...which is considered 36 weeks at least. Progesterone usually gives the baby an extra two weeks in the oven. That's definitely a good thing! Having a NICU baby was rough. Doc said that getting those extra weeks would be helpful in the baby not turning face up for delivery. Mikayla was so small she had room to twist.
I think that's it for now. Is there anything else that you guys would like to hear about?
I love my Mommy and Daddy. I like to run through mazes and I love my Mommy and Daddy. And I love my baby who is coming.

I like to watch spiders. And I like to pet my cats, I got two of them. My cats are so sweet! And I like to watch rainbows and birds.
I painted my face with a rainbow. I like coloring and I like to watch birds and I like to take pictures of them.

I like to take care of babies.

And I like to go to pet shops to see the animals.
I like to go to Halloween and scare peopple and I like to go to haunted houses! I like to sneak up on people. I like to say, "BOO!". Then they are scared!

I like to pat mouses.
I love my Mommy and Daddy. I love my baby who's coming. I like to scare people.

In Jacksonville, we had Halloween and there was a little leaf lady moving. And she scared us!

That's it!
I love my Mommy and Daddy. I love my new baby who is coming. I like to take baths. I like to eat dinner. And I like to go to the beach.

That's it!
I love my Mommy. I love my Daddy. I love my baby who's coming. I like to watch birds. I love my Grandma and Papa. And I love Aunt Becky and Vicki.

We'll see how long this lasts.

Mikayla has been writing journal entries at school. Well, she tells the teacher and the teacher writes it down for her.

I'm going to have them posted here for all of you to see. Hopefully, you will get a few giggles like I did.
